The award-winning Mall of Qatar officially opened in April 2017. It is the largest
shopping mall in Qatar, with an estimated 20 million customers anticipated annually.
The mall’s exterior is marked by its ‘jeweled’ façade, giving the whole project a memorable design motif and a striking presence among the series of ambitious buildings which line the highway. KEO have provided full Architect and Engineer of
Record and construction supervision services for a new mall 20 kilometers west of Doha,
Qatar. The plot size for this project is 281,566 m2 and it is located adjacent to the Dukhan Highway, close to the Al Rayyan Stadium and Sports Club and the major intersections of the highway which currently provide access to the plot.

The finished Mall provides over 171,000m2 of gross leasable space, including 165,000m2 of retail units, office space, a hypermarket, leisure facilities including a spa, restaurants and a food court, and a ‘luxury focused’ space.

One of the most defining features of the Mall of Qatar is the ‘Oasis’, a landscaped 30-metre high atrium. This dynamic space is landscaped with planted beds and living, tree-like support structures. Walkways are attractively curved, and restaurants lining the routes look onto a unique entertainment feature – a custom-fitted, revolving and multi-lift stage on which entertainment is provided all year round.
