Although prices have come down over the last several years, building green is more expensive in most cases.
That’s why QS need to forecast life cycle costs and delivering these to clients at the design stage. Clients need to start being delivered this data to make informed decisions, everything is too in the present and corners are cut at every possible junction to save money in the construction phase. But in reality, the construction costs are completely insignificant when look at a 100 year picture of running a large commercial building.
