The Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor hosted the opening ceremony and semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 . With a capacity of 72,000 seats, the structure is modeled on the Bayt Al Sha’ar, the traditional Bedouin tent, representing hospitality and cultural pride.

The stadium features a PTFE fabric roof, modular upper tiers for legacy downsizing to 32,000 seats, and facilities including an energy center, retail spaces, and a public park. The venue achieved a GSAS 5-Star rating, with world-class construction completed with zero safety incidents. Post-tournament conversion will include a five-star hotel, fitness facilities, and event spaces, reinforcing the stadium’s legacy as a community hub.
