Overview

Located at the heart of Doha along the sweeping bayfront, Al Bidda Park is the largest green space in Qatar’s capital and one of the most cherished public destinations. Originally built in the 1990s, the park underwent a complete transformation to meet the needs of a modern, multifunctional city park anchored on sustainability, culture, and community engagement.

The 1.745 million sqm redevelopment encompassed a complete reimagining of Al Bidda as a civic, recreational, and cultural destination. The project introduced new infrastructure, enhanced access, and flexible public spaces, including fan zones that hosted the FIFA World Cup 2022 celebrations.

The key features of the development includes six underground car parks accommodating 4,430 vehicles, along with eight playgrounds and six outdoor fitness zones with barbecue areas. Designed for community engagement, it features pet-friendly amenities, layered landscapes, and dedicated cycling, horse, and camel tracks. An 850-seat amphitheatre, sports courts, and family recreation areas enhance the public realm, complemented by integrated signage, lighting, and infrastructure upgrades that unify the overall design.
