Overview
Katara Cultural Village is one of Qatar’s most iconic civic and cultural developments—spanning over 100 hectares on Doha’s West Bay waterfront. Designed to celebrate Qatari heritage while embracing global culture, the development includes exhibition venues, performance spaces, and visitor destinations that host year-round festivals and international events.
Located within Katara Cultural Village in Doha’s West Bay, the Katara Commercial Plaza is a landmark retail and leisure destination that celebrates Qatar’s cultural and architectural heritage.
The development serves as the vibrant heart of the precinct, offering diverse retail, hospitality, dining, and wellness experiences. The stone-clad complex spans approximately 38,000 sqm with two basement car parks for 2,000 vehicles. It features premium retail and dining outlets, including the Galleries Lafayette Department Store (across three levels), a dedicated children’s mall, and an Evian-branded spa.
To enhance comfort and efficiency, the Plaza incorporates one of the world’s first fully air-conditioned outdoor retail environments, engineered to mitigate Qatar’s extreme heat and humidity. The children’s mall design adds a playful identity, with façades inspired by ribboned gift boxes.
