Developed by the Public Institute for Social Security (PIFSS) through Wafra Real Estate Company (WREC), Kuwait Medical City is a landmark healthcare and wellness destination located in Amghara, on the outskirts of Kuwait City. Spanning an impressive 861,000 sqm with a planned 460,000 sqm built-up area, the development represents one of the country’s most ambitious healthcare investments.

At its core, the master plan features a 400-bed hospital, expandable to 800 beds, alongside five specialized medical centers, outpatient clinics, and facilities for long-term care and rehabilitation. The project extends beyond healthcare to encompass residential zones, commercial spaces, and cultural and entertainment amenities, creating a vibrant, mixed-use environment designed for both treatment and community wellbeing.

A distinctive feature within the master plan is Kuwait’s first integrated bike trail system, reflecting a strong commitment to active, sustainable living. The overarching goal of Kuwait Medical City is to establish a comprehensive regional medical hub within a secure, well-balanced, and logistically optimized community setting new standards for healthcare-driven urban design in the region.
