The Lusail Stadium served as the main venue for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 , hosting the opening ceremony, ten tournament matches, and the final. The 80,000- seat stadium, located 15–20 km north of Doha, features a distinctive saddle-shaped roof and concave outer façade inspired by the sails of traditional dhow boats.

The 45,000 m² membrane roof shelters premium seating areas, with cooling systems powered by solar energy to enable carbon-neutral operations. The venue achieved a GSAS 5-Star Design & Build rating and Class A for Construction Management*, setting a regional benchmark for sustainability and performance.

Following the tournament, the stadium is being transformed into a mixed-use community facility including retail, education, and leisure spaces within repurposed spectator zones.
